Description - (What does it look like?)
Ninetales is a fox-like Pokemon boasting golden white tinted fur, revealing red eyes, upright sharp pointy ears and a triangle black nose! Above the head is a long crest of fluffy fur to which Ninetales also has a lengthy mane that covers around the neck and partly over the front legs. As it may suggest in the name, Ninetales has nine long glorious tails with pale orange tints at the end of each one. The typing is Fire.
The Alolan Ninetales form is of similar context the difference is that this form has a light pale blue hue and a more whispery effect that affects the fur with piercing ice blue eyes. The tips of the tail, legs, crest are pure white. The typing is Ice/Fairy.

Recorded Data - (Data from various games in the Pokédex)
Ninetales are said to be extremely intelligent and bears the worst grudges. Naturally, they live quite long and some have been said to live up to 1,000 human years. With the power to control over a foe's mind with their eyes and the flames it can emit from its mouth can hypnotize, you definitely wouldn't want to cross this Pokemon especially with the 1,000 year curse it can give to you and your descendants. Remember; Ninetales can understand human language.
There is a legend surrounding this Pokemon being that it has been allegedly said that Ninetales is the result of nine noble saints (or, wizards in a different story) merging themselves together to be reincarnated.

Why do I collect Ninetales & Alolan Ninetales? - (Just a little insight about my mind on the matter!)
Foxes have always been my favourite animal since childhood so it's quite natural to think that Ninetales was one of my favourites growing up with the Red & Blue games. Naturally, there was a lot of wonderful fire type Pokemon in Generation 1 my top favourites at the time for the fire type were the obvious Charizard, Moltres and of course Ninetales...I guess it makes sense I used to frequently pretend to play a fox, dragon or phoenix when I used to play pretend as a child, now it's poor fiction in my head! (I'll get there...one day!)
I love the colours of Ninetales as well, presenting such beautiful golden-sun like fur with an abundance of fluffy tails that look divine and she shares my typing (horoscopes...anyway!) we're both a fire type! I could never put my alias as a Ninetales though for I find her beyond any beauty I would ever share in reality unfortunately! I have collected Ninetales for such a long time, I could say that I wanted everything Ninetales since I got her figure in stores in the 90s but nothing was available for me much as a kid and a collection was quite out of the picture anyway because of my lack of money growing up buut when I got older and had some spending money for myself I was able to collect Ninetales to my hearts content; despite knowing she had no official plush at the time she is one of my top most favourites and of course; I want to collect everything she has! Even though she is a popular Pokemon, there weren't as many collectors of her as there was of others than there are today! There were plenty of Vulpix collectors for sure and plenty of merchandise for Vulpix in general; I grew a little tired of the great number of Vulpix plush as opposed to no Ninetales at all for some time! When Alolan Ninetales made an appearance I was in awe. Fire & Ice are my ultimate love combination so to get a frost-tales as well as the original fire was just the icing on the cake...! I do still prefer her original design but I do so very much love the Alolan Ninetales as well! |
